Welcome to Fall '25!

The SLU Learning Hub is open for in-person apppointments in our new space in room 19A as well as remote appointments. If you would like to schedule an appointment before then, please email Michael Rymer.

To sign up for an account, you can follow these steps.

Online appointments take place on the WCOnline platform.  Read more about how to meet your consultant for a remote appointment here.

E-tutoring appointments allow you to receive written feedback on your paper the same day without a live appointment. Etutoring is a good option if you would like help fine-tuning one or two aspects of your paper. Otherwise, please choose a live session.

In addition to the Learning Hub, SLU has many other resources to support your wellbeing and success:

  • Our librarian, Aliqae Geraci, is available to meet with students by appointment. You can schedule a session with Aliqae here
  • SLU's Wellness Counselor, Lindsay Kazi, is available to meet with SLU students at any point in the semester. You can contact her here.
  • SLU's Career and Professional Development Office is available to support you with cover letters, resumes and other aspects of a career search.
  • Any student in need of emergency funding can learn about available resources here.

A few important notes about Learning Hub appointments:

-If you are planning to be on campus for an online appointment, please note that only eduroam wifi supports WCOnline. Please take a moment prior to your appointment to configure eduroam by following the steps outlined here.  For support with this, contact the IT help desk

-Appointments are limited to two per week and back to back appointments are not allowed by the system. We are happy to make exceptions to both of these rules. We are also happy to schedule time for a Writing Advisor to read your work before your appointment. Please contact Michael Rymer with your request.

-In-person and online writing appointments are 45 minutes long. This allows staffers to write notes on sessions and prepare for their next session. Thank you in advance for respecting this time limit.

-We love Google Docs. Please feel free to share a link to your doc when you sign up for a session, and make sure to grant editorial access!

-All of our Writing Advisors are part-time contingent laborers who are not available to talk or correspond outside of scheduled hours.

-While you can access our system with a mobile device, you may not get as much out of an appointment that occurs while you are commuting.

-Please provide ample notice if you are unable to keep your appointment so that another student might be able to use the time.

Questions? Please email the Learning Hub’s Associate Director, Michael Rymer.
